Boys soccer: Wenger's 2 goals lead streaking Boyertown; Spring-Ford, Methacton tie one on

Boyertown 2, Perkiomen Valley 0 – Beckett Wenger scored a pair of goals and Nick Rothenberger recorded three saves for the clean sheet as the Bears stretched their winning streak to five with the PAC Liberty shutout win Friday.
Wenger broke the ice by converting a penalty kick in the 16th minute and later added another strike running off a Colin Eisenhard header 2:00 into the second half. For the Vikings, who were outshot 9-3 and lost the corner battle 4-1, Justin Angelo picked up 7 saves in goal.

Spring-Ford 2, Methacton 2 – The Rams and Warriors battled to the standoff with both teams getting their goals in the second half.
Justin Russell had a pair of unassisted strikes for Spring-Ford while the Warriors’ goals came from Arayman Punshi (assisted by Braden Kavanagh) and Graham Halfpenny (tapped in rebound from Cam Chilson’s bar down shot). Steven Remish finished with 8 saves for Methacton while his counterpart, Logan Hyduke, totaled 4 saves for the Rams.
 
Owen J. Roberts 4, Norristown 1 – Nicky Gambone set the tone by finding the net just 11 seconds into the contest and the Wildcats went on to record the PAC Liberty victory. The Eagles averted the shutout when Renato Castillo found the back of the net with 5:47 left.
