Crossan, Pope John Paul II claim final PAC playoff spot with win over Phoenixville

Pope John Paul II 38, Phoenixville 35 – Tess Crossan posted a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds and converted a clutch layup at crunch time to help PJP prevail in Monday night's showdown for the last PAC Final 6 playoff spot.
Trailing 30-23 entering the fourth quarter, the Golden Panthers posted a 15-5 edge in the final frame with Crossan (6 points), Amelia Kennedy (5) and Kayla Ciuba (4) scoring all the points over that critical stretch.
Kennedy finished with 11 points, Ciuba chipped in with 6 points and Haley Jackson cleared 11 boards for PJP, which faces (5) Owen J. Roberts in the opening round of the Final 6 playoffs Thursday night (7:30 pm) at Spring-Ford.
For the Phantoms, who currently rank 17th in the District 1-5A rankings with 16 qualifying for the playoffs, Aubrie Breisblatt led all scorers with 19 points and Angelina Williams added 8.
