Field hockey: Morgan keys Boyertown; Perkiomen Valley, Methacton roll

Boyertown 3, Pope John Paul II 0 – Alyx Morgan found the back of the cage twice and Lauren Eves also scored a goal as the Bears rolled to the PAC crossover win Monday.
Picking up the shutout with 8 saves was Sarah Yoder while Peyton Shellaway and Remi Lloyd both dished out assists for Boyertown, which held a 14-5 edge in corners.
 
Perkiomen Valley 8, Pottsgrove 0 – The Vikings cruised to the interdivisional victory behind three goals from Julia Downing, two strikes from Kiki Rotay and a one goal-two assist effort from Lauren Keyte.
Makenzie Johnson picked up 19 saves during a stellar performance in goal for the Falcons, while PV’s Liz Gaffney needed just two saves for the shutout.

Methacton 9, Upper Merion 1 – Twelve different players got into the scorebook for the Warriors, who used a fast start and balanced attack to post the PAC crossover romp.
Methacton, which raced out to a 6-0 halftime lead and never looked back, held advantages of 27-7 in corners and 21-3 in shots. For the Vikings, Riley McGrath had the lone goal and Gabby Walker finished with 12 saves.

Lynnsi Joyce registered 7 saves for her second shutout of the season.

Oley Valley 2, Spring-Ford 0 – Goalie Isabella Butler netted 11 saves and the Rams held their own against the perennial state power but were unable to mount any offense in the nonleague loss to the Lynx, who got goals from Abigail Thompson and Tetje Williamson and an assist from Olivia Scatamacchia. Cenora Grim posted the shutout with 6 saves for Oley Valley (4-0).
