Upper Perkiomen 1, Perkiomen Valley 0 – The Frontier Division champion Indians rode a strong defensive performance keyed by Bella Carpenter’s two defensive saves and goalie Lynnsi Joyce’s seven saves to victory in the PAC Final Four semifinals Tuesday night at Upper Perkiomen.
Upper Perk got the game’s only goal off a penalty corner when Ashlyn Gatto connected off an AiYi Young assist, and the Tribe defense did the rest in maintaining the shutout.
The victory sends the Indians into Thursday night’s championship game at Upper Perk against defending league champion OJR at 7 pm.
