Field hockey: Upper Perkiomen stays unbeaten with win over Spring-Ford

Upper Perkiomen 4, Spring-Ford 1 – The Indians stayed unbeaten at 8-0-2 and atop the PAC behind a balanced attack and fast start Friday.
Bella Carpenter finished with one goal and two assists and Kylene Good chipped in with a pair of assists for UP, which also got goals from Margo May, Luci Carpenter and Sarah Steinman.
The Rams, who were never a factor after falling behind 3-0 at the break, got their lone goal from Nina Scott while goalie Mackenzie Savage finished with 11 saves.

Perkiomen Valley 3, Owen J. Roberts 1 – The Vikings got first-half goals from Kiki Rotay, Sophia Giangreco and Cristina Dougherty en route to the PAC triumph Friday over the host Wildcats, who averted the shutout with a Raina Smolij strike.
