Field hockey: Wuerstle leads Perkiomen Valley; Owen J. Roberts routs Pottsgrove

Perkiomen Valley 5, Phoenixville 0 – Katie Wuerstle delivered a hat trick, Danielle Hamm and Cristina Dougherty finished with one goal and one assist apiece and Ashley Derrick picked up five saves for the shutout as the Vikings captured the PAC interdivisional victory Thursday at the Training Center.
For the Phantoms, who were outshot 13-5 and lost the corner battle 21-5, Sophia Greenwalt posted eight saves.

Owen J. Roberts 10, Pottsgrove 0 – The Wildcats cruised to the PAC crossover win behind a blistering start that produced a 9-0 halftime lead. Julia Lamb finished with three goals and one assist, Maddi Koury posted two goals and one assist and Raina Smolij chipped in with one goal and three helpers to key the rout.

Upper Perkiomen 3, CB East 2 – Bella Carpenter scored off a corner, assisted by AiYi Young, to snap a 2-2 tie late in regulation and boost the Indians (7-3) to the nonleague win. Lynssi Joyce was the difference-maker for Upper Perk with 23 saves in goal.
