Girls hoops: Olsen, Tiffan help Spring-Ford continue dominance over Methacton

Spring-Ford 67, Methacton 44 – The three-time defending PAC champion Rams used a fast start and deadly long range shooting to maintain the upper hand over longtime Liberty Division nemesis Methacton Thursday night in the PAC season opener for both teams.
Villanova recruit Lucy Olsen dropped in a game-high 20 points and Emily Tiffan added 16 behind four triples for Spring-Ford, which raced out to a 15-5 first-half lead and gradually pulled away from there.
The Warriors, who have lost to the Rams in the last two PAC championship games and are still in search of their first league title despite 7 trips in 11 seasons to the finals, were led by Nicole Timko with 17 points, Cassidy Kropp with 13 points and Mairi Smith (4 points) and Allie Hazlett (5 points) with 5 rebounds each.
Spring-Ford also got strong contributions at the offensive end from Anna Azzara and Abby Boyer with 9 points each, combining for three of the Rams' nine triples.
