Girls hoops: Spring-Ford suffers first loss at KSA Holiday Classic

Argyle (TX) 51, Spring-Ford 45 – The Rams absorbed their first loss of the season Friday, falling short in the semifinals of the Classic Yellow Bracket at the KSA Holiday Classic in Orlando, FL.
Emily Tiffan and Lucy Olsen scored 10 points apiece for Spring-Ford (5-1), which was unable to make up the difference after falling behind 24-17 at the break following a 16-7 Argyle run in the second quarter.
Spring-Ford had no answer for Argyle guard and SMU recruit Rhylee McKinney, who poured in a game-high 29 points with nine field goals, including three triples, and a perfect 8-8 showing at the free throw line.
Abbey Boyer hit a pair of three-balls and scored 8 points for the Rams, who will face West Orange (FL) for third place in their bracket Saturday morning at 10 am.
