Girls hoops: Spring-Ford's Lucy Olsen named third team All-State

Spring-Ford’s electric sophomore point guard Lucy Olsen, the 2018-19 Mercury’s Player of the Year and a first team All-PAC selection, was named to the third team of the Pennsylvania Sports Writers All-State Girls Basketball Class 6A team Friday.
Olsen averaged 15.2 points per game this past season, leading the Rams to their second straight PAC championship, a District 1 Class 6A semifinal appearance and a PIAA Class 6A state playoff bid.
Olsen joins former Spring-Ford greats Sammy Stipa (third team, 2012; first team, 2013; first team, 2014), Sarah Payonk (third team, 2013) and Shelby Mueller (third team, 2013) on the all-state teams.
