Girls hoops: White keys Owen J. Roberts; Boyer, Tiffan help Spring-Ford shoot down Pottsgrove

Owen J. Roberts 35, Phoenixville 33 – Avery White helped the Wildcats overcome a 23-16 halftime deficit, scoring 14 of her game-high 18 points after the break in the season-opening PAC crossover win for the Wildcats Tuesday night.
White cashed 8 of OJR’s 11 points in the third quarter to help cut the deficit to 29-27 before adding 6 more in the fourth quarter to push the hosts over the top.
For the Phantoms Dylan McAteer had eight field goals en route to a team-high 16 points while Aubrey Breisblatt was also a force at the offensive end with 14 points.

Spring-Ford 76, Pottsgrove 24 – The three-time defending PAC champion Rams rode a fast start, stifling defense and lights-out shooting to the easy crossover victory over the Falcons Tuesday night.
Abbey Boyer keyed the assault from beyond the arc with five of Spring-Ford’s 11 three-balls en route to a game-high 19 points. Also hitting double figures for the Rams (2-0 overall, 1-0 PAC Liberty), who were never challenged after bolting out to leads of 26-9 after one quarter and 48-15 at the break, were Emily Tiffan (17 points, 2 treys) and Lucy Olsen (14 points).
For the Falcons (0-2, 0-1 PAC Frontier), who were shut out in the fourth quarter, Sierra Potts knocked down a trio of three-balls en route to a team-high 9 points.
