Girls soccer: Fisher helps Upper Perkiomen stay perfect; Vogelman, Thompson power Owen J. Roberts

Upper Perkiomen 3, Perkiomen Valley 1 – The unbeaten Indians (8-0) struck early and often with all three of their goals in the opening half – including a pair of strikes from Sarah Fisher – en route to the PAC interdivisional win Tuesday afternoon.
Gianna Mallee averted the shutout for the Vikings with a second-half goal assisted by Maddie O’Donnell.

Owen J. Roberts 4, Pottsgrove 0 – The Wildcats stayed unbeaten (6-0-1) as Alexa Vogelman and Olivia Thompson both cashed in a pair of goals and the OJR defense, with Rachel Epps needing to make just one save for the clean sheet, recorded its sixth shutout of the season.
For the Falcons, who were outshot, 17-1, keeper Ella Smith kept it competitive with 13 saves. Vogelman now has 11 goals this season in just five games played.
 
Spring-Ford 1, Pope John Paul II 0 – Claire Lanzisera delivered the game-winning goal in the first overtime and freshman keeper Olivia Neild picked up the clean sheet with just one save as the Rams recorded the PAC crossover triumph.
Lanzisera collected Brooke Pappa’s through ball early in the extra session and finished off the play to help Spring-Ford improve to 7-2-1 overall.
 
Methacton 1, Phoenixville 0 – Mairi Smith recorded the shutout with 3 saves behind a tight defensive fortress and Kirsten O’Brien found the back of the net in the first half for the game’s only goal as the Warriors ran their winning streak to three with the PAC interdivisional decision. Ella Stout kept the Phantoms within striking distance with a stellar performance in goal that resulted in 12 saves.

Boyertown 3, Upper Merion 0 – The Bears used a flawless defense, featuring goalie Mia DiSantis’ 2 saves, and Maddi Springman's 2 goals to secure the PAC crossover verdict. Cori Bieber (goal) and Emma Beidler (assist) also got into the scoring column for Boyertown.
