Girls volleyball: Wolfe helps Boyertown shock Upper Merion; Tulli, Ward key Pope John Paul II

Boyertown 3, Upper Merion 2 – The unbeaten Bears (5-0) pulled off the PAC upset Thursday night on the road, overcoming a 2-1 deficit to prevail 18-25, 27-25, 18-25, 25-18 and 15-10 behind Emily Wolfe (24 kills, 13 digs, 4 blocks), Julia Smith (52 digs), Alexa Mack (12 digs), Emma Ludwig (48 assists, 25 digs), Adrianna Derstine (17 kills) and Jess Ahart (9 kills).

Pope John Paul II 3, Perkiomen Valley 0 – Hanna Tulli (12 kills), Sarah Ward (13 kills, 3 aces), Haley Spotts (4 kills), Chelsea Harvey (29 assists, 2 aces, 6 digs), Tea Pasquale (12 digs) and Jessie Donovan (10 digs, 5 aces) led the way as the Golden Panthers swept the PAC match 25-13, 25-23, 25-21.

Ridley 3, Phoenixville 0 - Alexa Grammerstorf (3 Kills, 2 digs), Avery Stackhouse (3 Aces, 1 Kill, 3 digs), Riley Daher  (3 Kills, 3 blocks), Natalie Detweiler (4 kills, 8 digs) and LeiLu Campbell (9 digs) were the linchpins in the nonleague loss for the Phantoms, who fell in straight sets 28-26, 25-11, 25-15.
