The week that was: Woodward, a 6-foot-9 junior center, helped the two-time PAC champion Warriors advance to the PIAA Class 6A quarterfinals for the first time in program history with a pair of dominating efforts.
 
Woodward hit for 14 points, including the 1,000th of his career, snatched 12 rebounds and blocked seven shots as Methacton easily handled District 2 runner-up Hazleton 64-42 in the opening round of the state playoffs Saturday, March 9.
 
Jeff followed that up with another dominating performance (27 points, 25 rebounds, 6 blocks) to lift the Warriors past (12-2) Boys Latin 93-71 in the second round of the tournament Wednesday – locking up a first-ever Final Eight bid for the locals.
 
Despite suffering a season-ending 50-47 loss in the state quarterfinals to Pennsbury Saturday, the Warriors got another double-double from Woodward that included 14 points and 12 rebounds.
 
Woodward averaged 16.3 points, 13 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.5 blocks this season for Methacton, which finished its historic campaign 24-8.
