The week that was: Milano, a junior, recorded his 100th career victory Saturday at the Giant Center in Hershey with a 2:28 pin of Seneca Valley’s Conor Hayes at 195 pounds in the Rams’ 34-27 setback in Consolation Round 3 at the PIAA Class AAA Duals.

Milano, who also had a pair of technical falls while going 4-0 as Spring-Ford went 2-2 at the state duals with wins over Delaware Valley (37-26, opening round) and Gettysburg (29-22, Consolation Round 2) and losses to Dallastown (37-28, quarterfinals) and Seneca Valley, is now 36-0 this season and 100-6 for his stellar career, including a fourth-place finish last year at states.

“It felt good,” Milano said of his milestone achievement on papreplive.com. “It’s another stepping stone.”

Milano became the fastest wrestler in program history to reach the century mark in career wins, and joins teammate Jack McGill (112 career wins) in a quest to overtake Brandon Meredith, Spring-Ford’s all-time career wins leader (150).

“It’s nice to be acknowledged for getting 100 wins,” veteran Spring-Ford coach Tim Seislove said on papreplive.com. “McGill got it a month ago and Joey got it here. It’s awesome to do it, especially in Hershey.”
