Methacton rallies by Lansdale Catholic; Phoenixville, Pottsgrove fall

Methacton 9, Lansdale Catholic 8, OT – The Warriors overcame a four-goal deficit in the final 8:07 of regulation, forcing the extra session on Matt Matour’s game-tying strike with 28 seconds left and getting the game-winner from Mike Merola off a  Kyle McKelvy assist from the back of the cage in the final 1:00 of overtime.
Methacton (5-11), which got a game-high four goals from sophomore Justin Sanelli, staged the stirring comeback with a 6-2 edge in the fourth quarter, fueled by three strikes from Sanelli.
