Olsen, Sullivan spark Spring-Ford; Smith, Kapp help Boyertown advance in OT

Spring-Ford 55, Pottsgrove 37 – Lucy Olsen poured in 22 points with three treys and Skylar Sullivan added 11 as the Rams overcame a slow start to post the PAC crossover win Friday night.
The host Falcons were within striking distance at 23-16 before Spring-Ford recorded a 15-8 advantage in the third quarter to assume control at 38-24. Riley Simon and Summer Walker shared team scoring honors for the Grove with 9 points each.

Boyertown 58, Pennridge 53, OT – Ashley Kapp gave the host Bears the lead for good at the Boyertown Holiday Tournament with a clutch three-pointer in the extra session and Julia Smith led all scorers with 21 points on five treys.
Amber Marburger added 13 points and Avery Sweisfort chipped in with 12 for Boyertown, which overcame a 17-6 first-quarter deficit and forced the extra session with a 45-34 advantage over the final three quarters.
Boyertown, which has won three straight after opening the season 0-5, hosts Delone Catholic for the tournament title Saturday (6 pm).
