PAC-10 Schedule: Stakes are high for boys/girls hoops doubleheader featuring Spring-Ford at PV

GRATERFORD – There’s plenty at stake when Perkiomen Valley High hosts a boys/girls basketball doubleheader against Pioneer Athletic Conference rival Spring-Ford Thursday night.

First place in the PAC-10 Liberty Division will be on the line when the Vikings and Rams boys tangle in a 6 p.m. tipoff. Both squads are off to perfect 3-0 league starts. Andrew Kenney leads PV (6-2 overall) with 17.0 points per game, while the top scorer for the Rams (6-4 overall) is Steve Joyce (13.4 ppg).

The girls contest is slated to get underway at 7:30 in the nightcap of the twinbill. Spring-Ford, led by Meagan Yates’ 10.7 ppg, sits atop the Liberty at 3-0 (8-1 overall). PV, with Sam Pagel (11.4 ppg) leading the way, is one game back for the division lead at 2-1 (3-6 overall).
