Softball: Lowery, Seymour, Duda power Methacton past Upper Merion

UPPER MERION – Paulina Lowery belted a go-ahead, three-run home run in the top of the sixth inning and Methacton tacked on eight more runs in the top of the seventh inning en route to a 17-7 nonleague softball victory over Upper Merion Monday.
Siobhan Seymour and Dani Duda combined for 8 hits and 6 RBI for the Warriors (3-1 overall), who finished with a staggering 22 hits in support of winning pitcher Megan Stauffer. Stauffer came on in relief in the third inning with the contest knotted at 5 and allowed just four hits, two runs (one earned) and one walk while striking out five.
