Tornetta helps Methacton edge PJP; Olsen sisters lead Spring-Ford to win in Arizona

Methacton 35, Pope John Paul II 34 – Sydney Tornetta scored 13 points and grabbed 8 rebounds, Nicole Timko chipped in with 9 points and Abby Penjuke finished with 6 points and 6 boards to power the Warriors to the narrow PAC crossover win Saturday.
For the Golden Panthers, Elise Sylvester hit three trifectas and totaled a game-high 16 points while Lauren Ciuba and Kallen Bustynowicz added 8 points and two three-balls apiece.
Methacton led 35-31 before Sylvester cut the deficit to 35-34 with a three-ball at the 13-second mark. After a missed free throw at the other, Bustynowicz secured the defensive rebound and passed to Tess Crossan, whose 15-footer rimmed out at the final buzzer.

Spring-Ford 37, Mesquite, AZ 37 – Lucy Olsen cashed 15 points and sister Olivia Olsen added 13 to help the Rams finish the Nike Tournament of Champions in Phoenix, AZ, on a winning note.
Spring-Ford (5-2) took charge at 22-15 in the first half and held off a late rally by Mesquite (9-8) to finish 2-2 in the prestigious tournament.

Owen J. Roberts 60, Upper Merion 18 – Olivia LeClaire scored 9 of her game-high 19 points to start the third quarter as the unbeaten Wildcats went wire-to-wire for the easy PAC interdivisional win.
Avery White chipped in with 10 points and Diana Rantz added 9 on three triples for OJR, which was never challenged after sprinting out to a 34-10 halftime lead. For the Vikings, Isabella Legendre netted 6 points.

Shannon Ludwig hit five three-balls for a game-high 15 points to pace the Bears, who also got 10 points from Ashley Kapp and 7 each from Julia Smith and Sierra Landes. Kaitlyn Mundy finished with 14 points to pace the winless Indians.
