Track: Duffy headlines strong effort by Methacton girls, boys at Pa. Track Classic

PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH – Methacton’s Caroline Duffy keyed a strong effort by the Warriors’ girls track team at the 32nd Annual PA Track Classic at Plymouth Whitemarsh Saturday.
Duffy won the gold in the 100 (12.72) and 200 (25.51) while teammate Fallon Brown took the top spot in the pole vault (10-0) and placed second in the triple jump (34-09.50).
Other top finishers  for the Methacton girls were:
Lauren Prusacki (2nd, 100, 13.00), (2nd, 200, 25.94)
Rainah Dunham (3rd, long jump, 16-04.25), (3rd, triple jump, 34-01.00)
Amy Domenick (2nd, 300 IH, 57.37), (3rd, 100, 13.12)
Abby Dungan (4th, 100 HH, 17.05)
The Warriors girls also took second in the 4x100 (50.14) and fourth in the 4x400 (4:11.42) at the multi-school meet.
In the boys competition, Methacton’s Jim Keenan, Griffin Bilicic, John Lozinak, and Nick Shaffer earned the gold medal in the 4x100 relay with a time of 43.56. Later, Bilicic, Lozinak, and Shaffer combined with teammate Max Jones to take home the silver medal in te 4x400 relay with a time of 3:29.52.
Also grabbing the silver was the Distance Medley relay team of Josh Bryki, Nick Shaffer, Nick DeFilippis, and Jeff Kirshenbaum with a time of 11:06. The 4x800 relay team of Bryki, DeFilippis, Kirshenbaum and Aiden O’Leary finished third with a time of 8:42.58.

Bilicic (3rd, 100, 11.39)
Alex Nicoletti (4th, javelin, 134-01)
Fifth-place finishes went to Pat Maloney in the discus (122-06) and Max Jones in the triple jump (38-08).
